After a very heavy night out on Saturday (the last beer was one too many I'm afraid) and after a recovery session in my bad till the late afternoon... I just had to get some air! And what a better way of getting fresh air then some topless driving:-)

So off we set to Erembodegem!

Since you can not always be working, we spend a Magical weekend in Paris visiting a friend of mine:-) This was one AWESOME weekend!!

A nice set of fleetline spindles. Just checking which brakes zould be possible to use:

from Left to Right: Bay window, 944 rear, 944 front, BREMBO, 944 TURBO

With Baywindow disks and caliper

With 944 disks, you can see the issue. The caliper fixation is not in the correct position

Same issue with the BREMBO calipers

So now I need to find a disk that was a 20mm bigger offset versus the original early 944 disks, or use a 20mm spacer between the hub and disk??

Not easy, packing one of these!

I got a new cover for when teh hood is open, ideal with all the convertible weather of lasts weeks. I did not had the roof closed for teh past several weeks

So if some one is interested in teh old cover?? Let me know (It will need a good clean, but there are no tears in there!)

Gearbox time! Since the engine will be a 1776cc, the original splitcase gearbox was not really an option.

So finding a suitable candidate:

And after cleaning all the grease and dirt and re-painting + nosecone removed (a T2 cone is needed to be ablt to fit this gearbox on an old type chassis

On the right wyou see the T2 nosecone compared to the T1 on the left. You can clearly see the difference!
